Fabric Base
Yardage
Swim Nylon is smooth on both sides, and has a cool hand. Unlike typical swim, this fabric is not slippery. It feels more like a very thin athletic knit. This fabric is printed directly onto the fabric. Printing directly onto the fabric creates more saturated and vibrant coloring. As a result the colors on my Nylon Swim can be different than the colors on the other polyester bases.

  • ♻️ Recycled Nylon can not be made from plastic bottles. Repreve recycled nylon is made from post-industrial waste from nylon carpet producers and nylon fiber producers.
  • 82% Repreve Nylon; 18%Spandex
  • 190 gsm
  • UPF 50+
  • Approximately 59" wide
  • 75% horizontal and 65% vertical, 4-way stretch
  • This fabric is milled and printed in China
  • Construction: Circular Knit
  • Recommend Uses: Swimwear, rash guards, shorts under dresses, dresses and workout tops.
  • Swim Poly vs Swim Nylon: Choose poly if you would like the coloring to match the other poly fabric bases, or if you plan to wear it in a chlorinated pool and don't want the coloring to fade. Choose nylon is you want bright saturated colors and don't plan on high chlorine use.

Swim Nylon Recycled Content

Unlike Recycled Polyester, Recycled Nylon can not be made from recycled plastic bottles. Recycled REPREVE® Nylon is made from post-industrial waste from nylon carpet producers and nylon fiber producers. ♻️

Care Instructions

Rise immediately after wearing in a chlorinated pool or saltwater pool/ocean. This fabric can fade in chlorinated water. Machine or hand wash in cold water. Dry on low or hang to dry.

Flaw Policy

Flaws Not Covered:

There may be minor imperfections with your print. These can occur with sublimation printing and are not considered "flaws":

1. White dots (smaller than 1/8").

2. Uneven printing. During the pressing process the fabric or paper may shift slightly, creating an uneven selvage. Shifts of 1/2" or less are not considered a flaw.

3. Printing flaws/white marks that are 1" or less, and within 2" of the selvage.

4. Extra ink absorption. Occasionally ink can soak through onto the wrong side of the fabric. This happens when the fabric is being pressed where a test hole was cut. The ink is only on the wrong side and does not effect the right side of the fabric.

5. Color variations between my US and China printers is normal. As well as color variations between different bases.

If tracking says "delivered" and you do not have the package, you can call your local post office to get the GPS coordinates of the last place it was scanned.  I am more than happy to help you as much as I can to locate your order. However, once it leaves my hands I am not responsible for refunding or reshipping your order.  All items are insured up to $100.00.

To return your product, you should mail your product to the address listed on your packing ship. You must notify Sew Dynamic prior to mailing the fabric.

Unless the return is due to an error on Sew Dynamic's part, you will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

You should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Sew Dynamic Fabric Bases

Recycled Athletic French Terry (grainline):

  • Athletic French Terry is smooth on the front side, with small/fine loops on the back. This fabric is drapey and I would describe it as a french terry version of brushed jersey.
  • ❗ Please note AFT has small runs along one selvage. For the most part they are entirely in the selvage, but they can go into the print by 1-2". The price reflects this known flaw.
  • ♻️ 22.5 recycled plastic bottles per yard
  • This fabric is milled and printed in the US
  • 92% REPREVE® polyester; 8% Spandex
  • 290 gsm

  • Recommended Uses: hoodies, joggers, jackets, and shorts.

Recycled Brushed Jersey (grainline):

  • Brushed Jersey is smooth on the front side, and brushed on the wrong side. The brushed side gives it a warm-hand. It has a jersey construction, therefore less recovery and compression than an athletic knit fabric.
  • ♻️ 17.5 recycled plastic bottles per yard
  • 🇺🇸 This fabric is milled and printed in the US
  • 92% REPREVE® polyester; 8% Spandex
  • 230 gsm

  • 75%/50%, 4-way stretch
  • Recommended Uses: tops, dresses, skirts, shorts, joggers, and hoodies.

Recycled Canvas NEW (grainline):

  • Recycled Canvas is a medium weight woven fabric ideal for bags, and upholstery projects. It has a smooth hand and no stretch. It reminds me of a thicker boardshort fabric in feel. Please Note this is a new Canvas, it is not the same canvas that was previously offered.

In hot climates, I recommend AK 265 instead of ABP for work out attire. The brushing also gives it less drape. For dresses, I would stick with body con or circle skirts and not gathers.
