This video reviews all of the different fabric bases:
Athletic Brushed Poly (cross grain):
16.7 recycled plastic bottles per yard
83% REPREVE® polyester; 17% Spandex
255 gsm
58" wide
70%, 4-way stretch
This fabric is milled and printed in China
Recommended Uses: Leggings, sports bras, shorts, dresses, hoodies, jackets and joggers. Keep in mind the ABP is brushed and can feel warm. In hot climates, I recommend AK 265 instead of ABP for work out attire. The brushing also gives it less drape. For dresses, I would stick with body con or circle skirts and not gathers.
US Athletic Knit (AK) 245 (cross grain)
Milled and Printed in the US
Bottles Recycled: TBD
82% recycled polyester; 11% Tencel; 7% Elastine
215 gsm
60" wide

Turnaround Time:

📓 81% Repreve polyester; 19% Spandex
⚖️ 245 gsm
↔️ Approximately 57" wide
🙆♀️65% horizontal and 75% vertical, 4-way stretch
Recommended Uses: AK 245 is lighter than AK 265, it also has slightly less recovery and compression. I would still recommend it for leggings, sports bras, shorts. It has more drape than the AK 265, so would work well for all kinds of dresses.
DriRelease (grainline):

DriRelease (grainline):
❗ Please note the drirelease coloring is not as saturated as the other fabric bases. It has a more muted, vintage look. Please see pictures.
📝Drirelease is a light weight fabric. It is soft, has good drape and not clingy. This fabric is printed on the grain line.

🙆♀️ 40% horizontal stretch and 35% vertical stretch
This fabric is milled and printed in China

Recommended Uses: Tshirts, dresses, shorts, skirts, and lounge pants.
Swim (grainline):
Swim (grainline):
📝Swim is smooth on both sides, and has a cold hand. Unlike typical swim, this fabric is not slippery. This fabric is printed on the grainline. This fabric is printed directly onto the fabric (instead of on to paper and heated onto the fabric like my polyester bases). Printing directly onto the fabric creates more saturated and vibrant coloring. As a result the colors on my nylon swim can be different than the colors on the other polyester bases.
♻️ Recycled Nylon can not be made from plastic bottles. Repreve recycled nylon is made from post-industrial waste from nylon carpet producers and nylon fiber producers.
